Ageing Well

Happy New Year to all! It's gotta be better than the last one, surely. To kick off '21 here's a nice commission that I snuck in before Xmas for a Washington Post feature on 'Ageing Well'. The main cover collage plays with autumnal colour silhouettes and references to the ageing themes of the articles with an added textural visual nod to tree rings. I also created two spot illustrations for the inside in the same vein. You can see more lifestyle illustrations here.

Smart Home

Here's a welcome commission for the Washington Post for the cover of their Real Estate section on the future of our homes entitled To Innovation And Beyond. Really enjoyed creating this one using suggestive cool tech colour and texture areas with a little 3d sprucing work on the friendly neighbourhood drone. See it on the site here with related works.

The Queen Of Cuba

Here's an enjoyable cover and feature commission for Washington Post Magazine on the little-known American spy Ana Montes, who leaked huge amounts of top secret intel to Cuba for nearly 20 years before capture. The article, by Jim Popkin, is a fantastic read and it was a thoroughly rewarding job all-round. More of these please.
