The New World

I was very pleased to hear I'd come runner-up in a design competition set by film magazine Little White Lies. The brief was to design a cover based on a Terence Malick film. I have a soft spot for The New World and the great native American actor Wes Studi in particular so I based my illustration around his character.

360

My Italian friends at Bunker recently commissioned me to create a number of branding illustrations for logistics company 360 Payment Solutions. Truck-centric montages were the order of the day covering sea (Transferry), road (Plose), rail (Transmodal) and the payment system (Yesmoney). The illustrations were used across the website, print materials, exhibition stands and for an animation. Thanks to Francesco, Frederic and Lia.

Barcelona Mad

Another year, another glorious trip to Barcelona and the Primavera Sound festival. Musical highlights for me this year included The Knife, OM, The Breeders, Neurosis, Roll The Dice, Meat Puppets, Phoenix and Blur. After three days of festy mayhem we spent the rest of the week absorbing (a lot of) the city's amazing food & drink and checking out the incredible sights. Trips up to Montjuic, Gaudi's gorgeous Park Güell and nearby Montserrat cliff top monastery were ticked-off before tucking into great tapas at Picnic, ales at Le Cerveteca and noiry cocktails at Gimlet.

Wine World

Here's a boozy cover and a set of feature illustrations for a Wine & Spirits Top Value 100 special issue. Plenty to drink about.

Chrome Invaders

Back in the studio this week after a breather in Barcelona and ready for a bit o' bloggin'. Here's my first ever print and animated editorial commission for PC World Magazine and their iPad/Kindle edition. It's for their security tips section focusing on Google Chrome browsers. I designed the print illustration with the animation in mind so thought I'd have some fun zapping the classic space invaders characters.
