Up At The O2

Earlier in the year I worked with Feed Films on a briefing video for London's Up At The O2 attraction, a walking trek up and over the former Millennium Dome in North Greenwich. I designed and animated the intro and outro in After Effects with some quality 3d work from Radio Design. We also created and animated infographics sequences that were tracked into video segments to enhance the overall message, some of which are shown in the edit here. You can also see this and other video work on the main site here.

3 x 3 Professional Show 2016

Pleased to pick up a Merit and an Honourable Mention in this year's 3 x 3 Professional Show for two of my illustrations for BBC Focus magazine. My Einstein cover for the Relativity On Trial issue scored a Merit in the Editorial category and my futuristic vision of a Termite City for the Into The Future column earned the Honourable Mention in the sci-fi category.

Pluripotency

I love it when Nature calls(!) as it usually ends in a rewarding commission and this time was no different. I tackled this week's cover and feature illustration on ten years of iPS (Induced Pluripotent Stem) cell research. Most of the cell imagery itself was fascinating and colourful so I created an eye design out of iPS cells for the cover to suggest observation under a microscope. The feature required a portrait of Nobel Prize winning stem cell researcher Shinya Yamanaka in the same style. You can also see the work on the site here along with further Nature commissions here.

Platinum List

American Airlines' Celebrated Living magazine got in touch again recently to commission some illustrations for a feature called 'Platinum List' covering at all the latest luxury products and experiences on offer. The first illustration looks at the latest in hotel AI technology and robot service and the second focuses on some of the obscene luxuries available to the super-rich on cruises. I also provided a couple of spot illustrations, one about the Red Rooster restaurants dual homes in Harlem and Shoreditch. You can also see them and other work for Celebrated Living on the site here.
